Looking forward to the Pune trip. Have a HUGE shopping list which has the following (amongst other things) -
1. Fabrics (as many as possible) - for skirts, dresses, tops (all courtesy my seamstress sister of course)
2. Embroidery hoops (hoping to make some wall art with them)
3. Plaid shirt, peasant top, dressy jeans, casual jeans, cotton trousers...
4. Embroidery threads
5. Plain khadi kurtas

Embroidered Yellow Shirt

This shirt has been in the "To Work On" basket for ages. I'm not sure but it's about 8-9 years old (Anjali gifted it to me for my first Sheffield trip as I didn't have any office worthy shirts) from Provogue. I don't think they sell these any more.

Tshirt Reconstruction

I bought a maroon tee shirt at a BHG sale but after wearing it at home I realised that it was too sloppy. The decision to reconstruct was made.

Details after the jump...

This is what I want to do.

Wednesday, September 30, 2009

I haven't written much in a while. The list of things to do on this blog grows longer. Sigh...

I like sentences that have ellipsis... is that a grammatically valid sentence ?

To do -
  1. Change the blog layout (tinkering with this page element voodoo is scary)
  2. Add links and other useful sections
  3. Post about
  • learning the Japanese language
  • craft projects in progress/completed
  • lessons in domesticity
  • Singapore

Soon.

Current project - Crocheted tablecloth.

The bag I use to carry my notes/textbook for Japanese class (the red tote, not the paper bag - that's from Isetan)

Knotted rugs made (by me !!!) from old clothes

Chinatown !!!

Bigger post coming as soon as I can unblock the writer's block :-|

Czech Micro brewery at Gillman Village Food Court.
Really good beer, DELICIOUS naan basket at the foodcourt next to it, greenery all around - ideal weekend brunch or early evening pint.

Would love to have this as a framed poster at home. Don't know where to get it though :-(
Saw it at Charlie's (Changi Village) and it's not for sale...

If only I could walk in them without wobbling :-(
All I can manage is fartsy poses for the camera before I throw them off :-((

Gladiator sandals worn by a girl in the MRT - I wish I knew where she bought them from !!

Aren't they lovely ??

A kitchen stand on sale at Isetan (Tampines Mall). I think the sale price is S$88.

Loved it but unfortunately already have a stand.
See the cute little drawer on top (to keep kitchen misc items like post-its and matchboxes in my case) ?!?
You could even keep your recipe books in the bottom shelf (although the onion skins and potato dirt could spoil the cover) !!
